The National Science Olympiad Class 1 question paper is objective in nature and consists of 35 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) to be completed in a duration of 60 minutes. The Olympiad exam paper of 35 questions is divided into 3 sections wherein, the section I & III contains 5 questions each and the section II contains the remaining 25 questions.
The details of the 3 Sections of NSO Class 1 Examination is as follows: -
- Section I: Logical Reasoning
- Section II: Science
- Section III: Achievers Section
Normally, the NSO Exam is conducted in 2 levels, but for Class 1 the participating students are evaluated on the basis of their performance in Level 1 only and they are not required to appear for the Level 2 NSO Examination.

The NSO Exam Class 1 Result is declared in both offline and online modes. The result of the Science Olympiad exam is send to the registered schools. The students can also check their results on the official website of SOF, www.sofworld.org, by entering the students roll number and other details. The participating students in the NSO Class 1 exam are issued SPR, that is the Student Performance Report which gives a detailed analysis of the student’s performance in the Science Olympiad.
The NSO Class 1 examination is an annual feature and the tentative important dates with respect to it are as follows: -
