About UP Board (UPMSP)

Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) — headquartered in Prayagraj — is Asia's largest examination board, conducting exams for over 32 lakh students annually. Established in 1921, it was one of the first boards in India to implement the 10+2 system. The board follows NCERT curriculum for Classes 9–12. UP Board schools use Hindi as the primary medium of instruction, with CBSE/ICSE schools additionally offering English medium. The board releases High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) results in April each year. Passing marks: 35%. As of today, UP has 8,66,361 primary schools, 8,459 higher secondary schools, 758 colleges and 26 universities.
