The UPSC EPFO EO/AO and APFC Examination 2026 is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission to recruit Enforcement Officers (EO) / Accounts Officers (AO) and Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners (APFC) for the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) under the Ministry of Labour and Employment. Based on RTI response, 391 vacancies (311 EO/AO + 80 APFC) are expected in the 2026-27 cycle with notification expected in August 2026 and Recruitment Test (RT) in December 2026. Both posts are filled through a single combined RT of 120 MCQs, 300 marks (2.5 marks each), 2 hours, offline OMR-based, with 1/3 negative marking. RT carries 75% and Interview (100 marks) carries 25% in final merit. EO/AO is Pay Level 8 (Rs.47,600) and APFC is Pay Level 10 (Rs.56,100). Do not confuse with EPFO SSA which is a clerical post recruited by NTA directly - EO/AO and APFC are UPSC-recruited officer-grade gazetted posts.
